Colorado Springs, Colo. – God welcomed Owen E. "Juice" Jensen passage into his new adventures in Heaven on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Terryl; his children, Jennifer (Marty) Kirkham, Kai (predeceased in 2011), Liberty Lewis and Hunter Lewis; his brothers, Curtis (Patricia), Ken (Mary Lou); and sister, Rita (Frank) Jensen Goodwin. He is also survived by his uncle, Paul (Joyce) Curtis; 28 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Owen was born in Santa Monica, Calif., on Feb. 23, 1947. He moved to Sadorus, attended Unity High School and graduated from the University of Illinois with honors and was commissioned as an Air Force 2nd Lt.

Owen was a fighter pilot, an attache with the U.S. Embassy in Canada, commander of the 73rd Space Group and vice commander of the 14th Air Force Flying Tigers Space Command while in the Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1996 and then went to work for Lockheed Martin Space Systems for 14 years and retired in 2009.

Owen most recently has been living in Colorado, loving all that the outdoors had to offer to him.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 30, at Rockrimmon campus of Woodman Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, you may donate to the charity of your choice or to the Owen E.
