Kyle Hendrix

HAMMOND, Ill. – Kyle Richard Hendrix, 31, of rural Hammond, Ill., passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at his residence in Hammond.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the First Presbyterian Church of Bement, 249 N. Macon St., Bement. Pastor Marsha Frederick will officiate. Burial will be in the Bement Township Cemetery, Bement.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, also at the First Presbyterian Church of Bement. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, Kyle would like memorial contributions to be made to the Kaleb and Khloe Hendrix Scholarship Fund in care of the First State Bank of Monticello.

Kyle was born April 6, 1982, in Urbana, a son of Roger and Diane LeCrone Hendrix. He married his best friend, Kristin Strike, on Feb. 4, 2006, and she survives of rural Hammond, Ill.

Surviving are his two precious children, Kaleb and Khloe Hendrix; his loving parents, Roger and Diane Hendrix of Bement; and his two brothers, Andy (Brianne Santoli) Hendrix of rural Hammond, Ill., and Matt Hendrix of Chicago. Kyle is also survived by his loving in-laws, Bruce and Leslie Strike of Monticello; and his grandparents, Larry and Sue LeCrone of Monticello.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Warren and Betty Hendrix.

Kyle was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bement, Monticello Golf Club, and chairman of the USDA, FSA office.

He loved farming, golfing, and traveling, and the St. Louis Cardinals, but anyone who knew Kyle knew his greatest love was spending time with his family, who have been by his side until he left this earth on Monday night.

Kyle could have never been loved any more by his family and their devotion to him over the last year and a half was awe-inspiring. Kyle will be forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Aaron and Susie Hinds of Roux-Hinds Funeral Home, Bement, have the honor to serve and celebrate the life of Kyle Richard Hendrix.
