CAMARGO – Scott Helm, 56, of Visalia, Calif., died on Nov. 17, 2013, at his home.
Scott was the son of William and Patricia Boucher Helm of Camargo. He was born Nov. 30, 1956, in Urbana. He graduated from Villa Grove High School in June 1975.
He married Sue Ellis on Sept. 1, 1996, in Three Rivers, Calif.
Surviving are his wife of Visalia, Calif.; his parents; brother, Robert, and sister, Terri Lawhead, all of Camargo. Three stepchildren and several stepgrandchildren of the Fresno, Calif., area also survive.
Scott was preceded in death by a sister, Sherrie; his grandparents, Leonard and Mary Helm of Camargo and Merrill and Viola Boucher of Manitowoc, Wis.; and three aunts.
Scott owned his welding business and worked for the Pom Corp. of California, the producer of pomegranate juice. He designed and welded the machinery used to process and bottle the juice. He also redesigned and modified older equipment.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at the Camargo United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013.
