CHAMPAIGN – Anthony Felton Clark, known to many as Tony, 62, of Champaign departed this life at 4 a.m. Thursday (March 27, 2014) at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center, Decatur.
Tony was born on Feb. 3, 1952, at Urbana. He was the second of three children born to the late Ernest Felton and Betty R. Clark.
He graduated from Urbana High School in 1970 and later entered the Joint Apprentice Program for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 149 in Savoy and became a licensed plumber after four years.
Tony is survived by three children, Anika Clark of Atlanta, Ga., Claire D. Johnson and Micheal Blissitt of Champaign; one sister, Carmelita (Willie) Thomas of Champaign; one brother, Reginald F. Clark of Los Angeles, Calif.; one aunt, Billie J. Cox of Jackson, Miss.; one niece, Evyn M. Clark of Indianapolis, Ind.; and one nephew, Omari C. (Cessily) Thomas of Champaign. He is also survived by a host of cousins and many friends.
Tony's Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 4, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 808 E. Bradley Ave., Champaign. Visitation with Tony and his family will begin at 11 a.m. with services following at noon. Officiant will be Pastor Keith L. Thomas.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Williams Memorial Services Ltd., Champaign.
