PAXTON – William C. Lindsay, 65, of Paxton died at 9:26 a.m. Saturday (July 5, 2014) at the Joliet Area Community Hospice.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City with the Rev. Nick Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the funeral home.
William was born on March 3, 1949, at Cannelton, Ind., a son of William A. and Geneva (Tindle) Lindsay. He married Patricia J. Berkler on Sept. 10, 1978, at Gibson City. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, William (Tawnya) of Paxton, Eric of Jacksonville, Fla., Marci (Brian) Lindsay Cox of Jacksonville, Fla., Tim (Lisa) Fitzwilliam of Lockport, Trudy (Joe) Cady of Iowa and Tina Wilson of Iowa; nine grandchildren, McKenzie, Tara, Kristopher, Kody, Robert, Dallas, Cassidy, Macey, Cy; great-grandchildren, Vada, Tylen, Little Kristopher and Anias; and his siblings, Gayle (Roy) Nugent of Gibson City, Rita (Steve) Hutchcraft of Gibson City and Allen (Sherri) Lindsay of Gibson City; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, John and Dee Grace of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Othie and Sister Jeanette.
Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of the Elliott AMVETS.
