FAIRMOUNT – Charles E. "Chuck" Harrold, 76, of Fairmount, passed away at 9 p.m. Wednesday (April 19, 2017) at his home.
Chuck was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Taylorville to William D. and Mary M. Ethridge Harrold. He married Elizabeth Jones on Feb. 22, 2002 in Danville, Illinois. She survives as well as two sons, William C. "Bill" Harrold of New Jersey and Christopher A. (Kyong S.) Harrold of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two stepsons, Charles Dirk of Urbana and Brian (Chris) Drollinger of Georgetown, Ill.; a daughter, Cathy (Thomas) Rick of Farmer City; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Drollinger Homan of Indianola and Pamela (John) Drollinger Thomas of Fairmount; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as nine great-great-grandchildren.
Chuck served in the Army and was involved in the construction trade, as well as sheet metal. He enjoyed antique car shows and was a member of the Kaiser Frazier Car Club.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, at Robison Chapel, 103 Douglas St., Catlin. Curtis Flake will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Greenview Cemetery in Fairmount. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Robison Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
