URBANA – Alejandro Alex Coriano, 17, of Urbana passed away at 11:11 p.m. Thursday (June 15, 2017) as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, at the funeral home. Burial will take place after the service at Mount Olive Cemetery in Mayview.

Alejandro was born Jan. 25, 2000, in Urbana to parents Alejandro Coriano and Melissa Arnold. They survive. Also surviving are his sisters, Danyella Coriano and Maxie Zekthi; his grandparents, Maria Arnold and Carlos Figuera; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Arnold.

Alejandro was going to be starting his senior year at Urbana High School. He worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at Crystal Lake Family Aquatic Center and was a member of his high school soccer and swim teams his freshman year.

He played baseball and football throughout grade school and was involved in football, soccer and wrestling during middle school.
