Rights violations cannot be tolerated

Even though I am one ordinary person in a Midwestern college town, I can read our U.S. Constitution and its amendments and see that the National Security Agency is breaking the laws of our country. I must be naive, but I don't see how this can happen so blatantly.

President Obama taught constitutional law, so how can he sit idly by while the people in one of his departments violate the Fourth and Tenth Amendments?

And now the NSA is abusing and taking away freedoms from journalist Laura Poitras, who has been exposing their illegal actions. This reminds me of McCarthyism in the 1950s or China more recently.

How can we stop the government when it breaks our own laws instead of enforcing them?
