Will Trump get Clinton scrutiny?

Is Hillary Clinton crooked? For the sake of argument, let's say yes.

Is Donald Trump crooked? Let's go with possibly.

If we applied the same prosecutorial enthusiasm to Mr. Trump's brand of crooked as has been applied to Ms. Clinton, what would we learn?

Credible evidence, published in this newspaper and many other outlets, suggests that he and his family are using their elected and appointed positions for their own enrichment. This would be a violation of Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution. Kind of like Hillary selling access, right?

There's also ample documentation of the president, his Cabinet members, and his family obfuscating and misrepresenting things small and large. They do it, apparently unashamedly, before Congress and before the American people. Lying to Congress and to we the people used to be a bad thing.

And what about those Russian connections? Did Michael Flynn commit treason? In what ways were Mr. Trump, his family members and his associates involved with the Russians and their election hack?

You could pass this off by saying both sides do it, right? But then you'd be calling my mother, and probably your own, a liar. If I had a nickel for every time I heard the phrase "two wrongs don't make a right," I'd have built a nice nest egg.

Instead, I'm left to wonder, how many days into her first 100 would the Republican House majority have introduced articles of impeachment against Madam President Clinton?
