Letter to the Editor | Is N-G becoming a different paper?

It seems that recently only comments about Representative Davis are published in letters to the editor, but here goes.

John Foreman is retired. Now, in quick succession, Dan Corkery and Tom Kacich have retired, two longtime voices of The News-Gazette.

They are old enough and deserve to retire. But — seems strange. They loved their craft.

If I remember correct, Mike Royko also loved his craft. And, so to speak, "died with his boots on." Meaning, never retired.

Corkery even went out of his way to write he wasn't being forced out.

However, it seems with these people gone and new features being added, The News-Gazette is slowly evolving into a downstate version of the now very liberal Chicago Tribune. Strange indeed.
