Letter to the Editor | Davis unfamiliar with bipartisanship

Last Thursday, Rodney Davis voted against a spending package that would have reopened the federal government, claiming it was "a partisan spending bill."

Surely he's aware that the Senate passed a virtually identical bill in December — unanimously.

It's hard to get less partisan than that. Davis likes to talk about how "bipartisan" he is, but I'm not sure what he thinks that word means.

Davis needs to stop trying to blame Democrats for President Donald Trump's shutdown and get the government working again.

I'm sure the federal employees who live in the district, and the people who benefit from the services they provide, would appreciate it.
