Letter to the Editor | No longer proud to live in Illinois

As a young girl growing up in the Midwest, I had pride in my state, Illinois, the Land of Lincoln.

I'm not a young girl anymore. Nor am I proud to be from Illinois. So, what happened to make me want to pack up and head to Alabama?

Because, from 1973 (the year I was born) until today, thousands of infants each day (millions all told) are ruthlessly, mercilessly and in the most painful ways imaginable murdered.

The pain is unnecessary. With one shot, we can easily and painlessly put beloved Fido and Smoky to sleep.

Am I missing something?

Go, Alabama! You rock! At last, someone has the courage and conviction to stand up for life.

Pray, Christians, like you never have before. Finally, for the first time in our lives, there is hope to overturn the vile Roe vs. Wade. This might be our last/only chance to save the babies.

Their blood cries out to the loving God, and he will exact his judgment if we don't do the right thing.

God, please help us to win this righteous fight.

If we don't, God help us all.
