Letter to the Editor | Let the local food magic begin

Debra Karplus' recent column about critters triggered my thinking cap.

Our community has hungry families, as well as tremendous resources. Resources destined to be brought together to solve this community problem.

We have outstanding multi-ethnic chefs in both restaurants and food trucks and thousands of geese roaming our parking lots, streets and neighborhoods.

They are, literally, honking to serve and be served. For some reason, we have not introduced our chefs to our geese.

Consider this a formal introduction to this match made in heaven.

Having a sister married to a fine-dining, creative chef has taught me how a good chef is a food magician. Let the local food magic begin.

As a longtime, semi-pro sommelier with Wine Spectator Awards to my credit, I'd be happy to suggest a few wines.
