No endorsement for park district

Voters are on their own in the Champaign Park District board election.

There are two open seats on the park board in Tuesday's, three candidates and no issues of note.

Barbara Kuhl and Al Griggs are running for another six-year term on the board. Joe Lamb, a local businessman, is the third candidate.

All three are fine people who are or would be excellent stewards of the public interest. With no way to draw distinctions among these good candidates, The News-Gazette is not endorsing in this contest. The public will be well served whatever the outcome.
