Last chance to catch the action

Is the best yet to come for the University of Illinois volleyball team?

The Fighting Illini football season might have caused the fans some heartburn, but volleyball was a pure joy to watch.

Ranked seventh in the country and seeded No. 3 in the upcoming NCAA tournament, the volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a 27-4 record and tied for second in the incredibly competitive Big Ten.

The Illini begin their NCAA tournament bid tonight at Huff Hall, and those who haven't caught on yet to the excitement of volleyball will have one final chance this season to see them play.

The Fighting Illini take on Central Michigan at 7 p.m. today. If they win, they will face the winner of the Marquette/Western Kentucky match at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Volleyball is a fast-paced, exciting game that is filled with action, and the Illini volleyballers are an athletic, hardworking bunch. They put on a great show.

Check them out. These Fighting Illini won't disappoint.
