CHAMPAIGN — Champaign police are investigating a reported robbery Tuesday night at the McDonald’s restaurant at 501 N. Mattis Ave., C.
No injuries were reported, according to preliminary information from police.
Police said two men walked into the restaurant at 8:36 p.m., went to the counter and demanded cash. Neither displayed a weapon.
The two men then took a deposit bag containing cash and left the restaurant.
Police were uncertain late Tuesday night whether the robbers ran or drove away. At least one witness reported seeing a vehicle leave the area.
This is the third time this McDonald's has been robbed in the 4 years I have lived in CU. Wow!
Do they have cameras in McD's? They've been hit before . . . And what about descriptions of the robbers? Even after the fact, perhaps someone who happened to be around/or in the restaurant could help law enforcement officials find/arrest these scumbags! There has to be a way to get these losers!
