Some good races coming up. Saturday is the inaugural (and sold out) Big Ten Network’s Big 10K in Chicago. If you’re running it, I’d like to hear how it went.
Here’s the list of races you can still get into.
Tonight, July 27:
— Detweiller at Dark
This is a nighttime cross-country race this evening, under the lights at Detweiller Park in Peoria. If you are going to be in Peoria and want to run, you can sign up this evening. Heats begin at 8:15 p.m. There is a 2.1-mile race for junior high students (age 13 and under), and a 3-mile race for high school and collegiate runners (ages 14-22) and for post-collegiate runners (ages 23 and up).

I’m pretty excited about this swim. It will be my first open water swim that’s not part of a triathlon.
