The Knights (8-1) won all four matches in their own tournament in two-set sweeps. For the day, Sherelle Coller was the assists leader (69), Karly Goodman was the kills leader (26), Ashley Tabb was the digs leader (18) and Julia Cohan was the aces leader (nine). Other key hitters were Jessica Davis and Emily Seegmiller. Brooke Tabb was another of A-L's defensive catalysts.
Danville had 37 total yards before intermission and trailed at Centennial 16-0. The Vikings fell behind 23-8 before a 334-yard second-half effort (and 21 first downs) led to a 32-23 triumph. Trent Sherfield had 165 passing yards and 156 rushing yards after halftime, and Chris Collier, Martez Davis and Steve Williams all had at least two receptions.

CHAMPAIGN CENTRAL GIRLS' CROSS-COUNTRY
The team champion Maroons had the individual winner (junior Hannah Wright) while winning their first Twin City championship in the sport in nine years. Coach Christopher Schultz's second, third and fourth runners finished the 3-mile course within nine seconds of one another. Junior Chloe Lessaris was sixth, sophomore Ali Miller seventh and freshman Hannah Shinew was 11th.
Coach Randy Blackman's Tigers won three matches in five days. Senior Jonathan Lukusa scored goals in all three matches. Senior Miguel Fierro had a hat trick against Danville. Sophomore David Anderson and junior Saul Downie each had matches with three assists. Senior goalkeeper Brian Summers had two shutouts.
ST. JOSEPH-OGDEN FOOTBALL
The Spartans (No. 6 in Class 3A) took down Momence (No. 2 in Class 2A) thanks to a balanced offensive attack. Dalton Walsh eclipsed the 200-yard mark for passing, hooking up with Louis Acklin for the team's first two touchdowns. Chase Patton rushed for 169 yards and scored the final three TDs. Orion Ciota converted the extra-point kicks following the first four SJ-O scores in Saturday's 34-6 come-from-behind triumph at home.
