In swimming & diving
At Urbana. Sarah McGill and Katherine Penwell each won two individual events, leading Champaign Central to a 100-86 victory against Urbana at the Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center.
McGill was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 10.41 seconds) and the 100 free (59.05 seconds).
Penwell claimed the 200 individual medley (2:26.95) and the 100 backstroke (1:07.34).
Urbana's Gabi Rajic won the 50 free (24.77) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.82).
Central's Clare Ramsey was triumphant in 1-meter diving, totaling 150.65 points.
In boys' soccer
Normal U-High 3, Centennial 1. Diamond Williams scored a second-half goal for the host Chargers, who trailed 1-0 at intermission. The Pioneers scored two late goals to earn the victory. Centennial keeper Andy Drackley had 11 saves. The Chargers (3-2-1) had 11 shots on goal.
In boys' golf
At Urbana. David Warren shot a 37 to win medalist honors and lead Bismarck-Henning to victory against second-place Mahomet-Seymour and third-place Urbana at Urbana Country Club. The Tigers' C.G. Facer was another stroke back, and B-H's Andy Bott finished at 40. The Bulldogs were paced by Blake Jackson's 42.
At Sheldon. Romer Gillespie and Burl Gillespie each carded 51s for second-place Watseka in its triangular at Shewami. Beecher finished first.
At El Paso. Sheldon Stumpf shot a 54 to pace Fisher at El Paso Golf Club in a triangular that included first-place Lexington and second-place Streator-Woodland.
In girls' golf
At Atlanta. Blue Ridge's Megan Tsevelekos carded a 51 to earn medalist honors at North Greens Golf Course in a dual match against Olympia.
In girls' tennis
At Urbana. Alyssa Vodacek and Abby Demlow each won their singles and doubles matches, leading St. Thomas More to a 6-3 victory against Champaign Central at Atkins Tennis Center.
At Rantoul. Tahalia Rusley won her No. 1 singles match and teamed with Amy Jo Graham to win at No. 2 doubles, leading Rantoul to a 7-2 victory against Pontiac.
Shiloh 2, Cerro Gordo 1. Lexie Minott had nine kills in Shiloh's 20-25, 25-16, 25-17 victory. Lauren Moses added five kills and eight digs.
