In boys' soccer
Urbana 2, Centennial 0. Jonathan Lukusa scored a goal in each half to lead the visiting Tigers to a shutout victory. Both of Lukusa's scores were unassisted. Goalkeeper Oscar Almaraz recorded seven saves for Centennial.
Champaign Central 8, Charleston 1. Feli Keli and Emmanuel Komba scored two goals apiece for the Maroons in a home win.
Danville 8, MacArthur 0. Seven players scored for the host Vikings, who earned their first Big 12 win in five tries. Chase Thurston had two goals, while Cody Rewand Luis Rubio each notched one goal and two assists.
Watseka 4, Fisher/GCMS 0. Pedro Garcia scored the Warriors' first and last goals in a home win. Goalkeeper Bob Loeffler had four saves to record his third shutout of the season.
At rural Danville. St. Joseph-Ogden swept the first nine places and rolled to a 15-50 victory against Hoopeston Area at Kickapoo State Park.Jon Crawfordled the Spartan parade, finishing in 17 minutes, 27 seconds — four seconds ahead of runner-up Bryant Anderson. In a girls' dual meet, Jessica Kassuelke and Abby Gawthorp finished 1-2 to lead SJ-O to a 19-43 win against the Cornjerkers. Kassuelke was clocked in 21:02. Madie Brownof Hoopeston Area placed third.
At rural Danville. Hannah Wright won the girls' race by almost a minute for Champaign Central in a dual meet with Danville at Kennekuk County Park. Wright finished in 19:34, teammate Chloe Lessaris was second in 20:28, and Danville's Emily Cleveland placed third in 21:05. The Vikings lacked enough entrants for a team score. In the boys' race, John Leverenz of Danville was first in 15:50, but the Maroons had the next five finishers and won 20-38. Runner-up Kain Shirley of Central was clocked in 16:29.
In swimming & diving
At Danville. Kristin Verkler won two individual events and swam on two first-place relays to lead Danville to victory in a three-team meet. Audrey Rodawigof runner-up Centennial was a three-time winner, including with a relay. Michael Claire accounted for two of Urbana University High's four first-place finishes.
In girls' tennis
At Urbana. Lauren Neitzel, Emily Lydic, Sophie Kim and Shelby Quigley each won singles and doubles matches for Centennial in a 9-0 victory against Urbana.
At Champaign. Clarissa Stanhope and Rose Whitsitteach won in singles and doubles, leading Champaign Central to a 7-2 victory against GCMS. Carson Arends of the Falcons won at No. 1 singles and combined with Meaghan Sharp for a victory at No. 1 doubles.
In boys' golf
At Sheldon. Neil Rhoades shot a 38 to lead Watseka to second place in the five-team Iroquois County tournament at Shewami Country Club. The Warriors finished 23 strokes behind champion Donovan. William Aileyshot a 38 for fourth-place Milford.
At Urbana. Led by medalist Chris Tate, St. Thomas More had five of the top six finishers and defeated Clinton 151-183 at Stone Creek Golf Club. Jesse Dankle and Michael Kehl of the Sabers tied for second with 38s.
In girls' golf
At Sheldon. Kaleigh Wilken shot a 47 to win medalist honors and lead Iroquois West to the title of the Iroquois County tournament at Shewami Country Club. Wilken edged Milford's Jordyn Baslerby 1 stroke. Iroquois West finished 3 shots in from of runner-up Watseka, which was paced by Drew Grimes (49) and Kate Mueller (49).
