URBANA -- The University of Illinois police department is looking for help finding a man who robbed a woman of her purse.
About 5:47 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8, UI officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 1000 block of Clark Street in Urbana, near the intersection of Clark Street and Goodwin Avenue.
The female victim reported that a man on a bicycle grabbed her purse as he was riding past her then fled north on Goodwin Avenue.
She described the robber as being a black male, approximately 20 years old, 6 feet tall, medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans. The victim said there was another man riding a bicycle in front of the suspect, but he did not participate in the robbery.
She was unable to provide any further description of the second man. The victim?s purse and its contents were stolen.
