URBANA — Two medical providers will be featured speakers at an event Tuesday evening called "Breath of Life" in connection with National COPD Awareness Month.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, or COPD, is one of the most common lung diseases.
The event, sponsored by the Women4Women group with the Provena Covenant Medical Center Foundation, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stone Creek Events Center, 2560 Stone Creek Blvd., U.
Speaking will be Christie Clinic pulmonologist Dr. Kaushik Patel and Jennifer Compton, director of respiratory therapy at Provena Covenant.
There will also be a question-and-answer session, a performance by local vocalists, and some services for people attending including makeup lessons, mini-massages and mini-manicures, according to Covenant.
