GIBSON CITY – Virginia J. Crouch, 77, of Gibson City died on Sunday (Nov. 25, 2012) at Heritage Health in Gibson City.
A private graveside service will be today (Tuesday) at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Lamb Funeral Home in Gibson City is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Crouch was born June 8, 1935, in Paxton, a daughter of Walter A. and Florence I. Hout Ropp. She married William F. Crouch on June 18, 1952, in Melvin. He died Dec. 10, 2002.
Surviving are four children, Bonnie (Ken Farmer) Baird, Douglas W. (Alisa) Crouch and Scott (Kim) Crouch, all of Gibson City, and Lisa (Mark) Gillespie of Sibley; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Owen, Monica (Derek) Wetzel, Valerie Baird, Joshua Crouch, Mathew (Christina) Crouch, Douglas J. Crouch, David (Gail) Crouch, Strom Crouch, Stephanie Vincent, Sherrie (Chris) Stipp and Ashley (Doug) Rollind; 14 great-grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler and Ella Owen, Sebastian Wetzel, Konner, and Gage Gibson, Michael, Kelsey, Taylor and Carter Crouch, Megan Vincent, Natalie, Abbie and Korbyn Stipp; and one great-great-grandson, Anthony Owen.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Hillard; a brother-in-law, Ernest Hillard; and a grandson, Shawn Lange.
Virginia was a homemaker and family was her biggest pleasure. She will be missed very much.
