CHAMPAIGN — The staff from WGNN in Fisher is hosting a meet and greet for authors and artists from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Olive Garden, 30 E. Anthony Drive.
Area artists and authors will show and sell their work at the event. Among the authors is Maxine Leffler of Mahomet, who will sell and sign copies of her book, "Suddenly Single: Don't Be a Wimpy Widow Like Me," which she has self-published through Mayhaven Publishing.
Leffler, 86, met her husband Ralph when they were teens. They were married for 64 years before his death. Leffler wrote the book as a way to help married, divorced or widowed women. "Suddenly Single" contains advice from herself as well as more than 60 other women from eight states, two other countries and three ethnicities.
Leffler said the book will be on sale through amazon.com.
