CHAMPAIGN — After a mild weekend opened the month of December, the National Weather Service is forecasting a high of 70 degrees on Monday afternoon and warns of dense fog early Monday morning.
After midnight tonight, visibility could be recuded to less than a quarter-mile. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible on Monday night as a cold front pushes through the area with lows around 49 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Winds may gust as high as 22 mph.
Tuesday morning will bring another chance for rain before noon, but the service expects the clouds to break and warm up to a high temperature near 57 degrees.
The rest of the week is forecast to bring highs in the mid 40s and overnight lows in the 30s. Thursday and Friday could bring chances for precipitation.
