CHAMPAIGN — Express Air Coach will begin providing shuttle bus service between the University of Illinois and Chicago's O'Hare Airport on Dec. 18, the company announced Tuesday.
The company plans to offer three non-stop trips daily between the two sites, with a flat rate of $45 for a one-way trip.
Shuttles will leave Champaign at 7 a.m., 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily, and shuttles will leave O'Hare at 7 a.m., 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily, according to a news release.
Pickups in Champaign will be made at the University of Illinois Armory and at Altgeld Hall.
Express Air Coach's fleet has 11-, 27- and 56-passenger vehicles, all equipped with free Wi-Fi, audio and video.
The company has been providing round-trip service between Purdue University and O'Hare Airport for nine years. This year it began scheduled daily trips to Midway Airport as well.
"Since 2004, we have taken tens of thousands of students to and from O'Hare and Midway airports," said Paul Davis, owner of Express Air Coach.
"We feel comfortable to expand at this time and now serve the students and residents of the Champaign area," he said.

The company also offers private rides and charter service for large and small groups, such as schools, churches, companies and senior citizen groups.
Express Air Coach employs all its own drivers, Davis said, and is a member of the American Bus Association.
