CROWN POINT, Ind. – Lois C. McConnell, age 90, of Crown Point, Ind., formerly of Cissna Park, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (Dec. 8, 2012).
She leaves three children, Marvin (Connie) McConnell, Warren (Wanda) McConnell and Donna (Dale) Weddell; seven grandchildren, Keith (Carol) McConnell, Kurt (Sheri) McConnell, Sandy Haytte, Sherri (Hank) Lorenz, Sean McConnell, Amy Glover and Rebecca Weddell; 15 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Abby, Madiline, Mathew, Merrideth, Maryclare, Logan, Emily, Robert, Joshua, Isabella, Jonathan, Ryanne and Rylee; one sister, Jennie Stipp; three sisters-in-law, Catherine McConnell, Pat McCay and Lorraine Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald McConnell; brother, Richard Wilson; sister, Ruth Johnson; brother-in-law, Richard McConnell; and great-grandchild, Hannah.
Lois was a member of Southlake Christian Church in Crown Point, Ind., and was an avid Cubs fan and Illinois basketball fan. Lois will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Brown-Alkire Funeral Home, 309 E. Washington St., Hoopeston, IL 60942. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Brown-Alkire Funeral Home in Hoopeston, with John Starr officiating. Interment will follow in East Lynn Cemetery in East Lynn.
