URBANA — A woman from Oakwood who admitted stealing another person's credit card was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation.
Allyson Lutz, 35, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft, admitting she stole an Armstrong woman's credit card on May 22. Other more serious counts charging her with identity theft for using the woman's credit card number at three Champaign County businesses were dismissed.
Also dismissed was a separate case of residential burglary alleging that Lutz entered a St. Joseph home on Nov. 1 intending to steal prescription pain medication.
She was also ordered to pay a $250 fine and get substance abuse and mental health evaluations.
