RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. – Vivienne L. Garner, 95, died at approximately 10:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Mission Hospital, Mission Viejo, Calif.
She was born July 4, 1917, in Del Rey, Ill., a daughter of Joseph and Mayme Conn Fritsch. She married John E. "Jack" Pruett on Aug. 9, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death in January 1957. Darrell Garner, her second husband, also preceded her in death in 1986.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Fritsch; and three sisters, Margaret Cultra, Eileen Hirstein and Laverne "Dee Dee" Luke.
Surviving are her son, John R. Pruett of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; grandson, John T. Pruett of Las Cruces, N.M.; stepgrandson, Craig D. Rice of San Diego, Calif.; great-grandson, John J. Pruett and great-great-grandson, Logan John Pruett of Florence, Ore. Also surviving are one niece and five nephews.
Vivienne was a graduate of Onarga Community High School and Champaign Business College, Champaign. She attended the Methodist Church.
Services are being planned for the family in the spring at Del Rey Cemetery.
