CHAMPAIGN – Eileen Schneider, 90, of Champaign passed away at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 1, 2013) at Amber Glen in Urbana.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1922, in Farmer City to Cloyd and Viola Curtis Howe. She married John D. Schneider in Farmer City on June 29, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1967.
Surviving are three sons, John (Holly) Schneider Jr. of Chatham, Phillip (Fatima) Schneider of Vienna, Va., and Richard (Mariarose) Schneider of Grants Pass, Ore.; one daughter, Diane (Tim) Sullivan of Champaign; grandchildren, J.D. (Anna) Schneider, Hilary Schneider, Blake (Karin) Schneider, Kyle (Savannah) Schneider, Galen Schneider, Farah Schneider, Lucas Elleson, Camryn Elleson, Abby Elleson, Sami Schneider, Peter, Ella Schneider, Matthew Sullivan, Sara and Katie Sullivan; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Rose Schneider, Nathan Schneider and Olivia Tewell.
Also surviving is one sister, Eloise Miller of Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Eileen was a sales clerk at Bergner's for many years. She was a member at the First United Methodist Church of Champaign.
Visitation for Eileen will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at the Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Jim Elder officiating. Interment will take place at the Blue Ridge Township Cemetery, Mansfield.
