CISSNA PARK – Helen C. "Barbara" Kuhn, 87, of Cissna Park passed away on Monday (Jan. 7, 2013) at Country Health in Gifford.
Barbara was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Loda, the daughter of John and Catherine Genzel Lemming. She married Orville R. Kuhn on Nov. 29, 1944, in Cissna Park, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1979.
She is survived by two sons, James (Linda) Kuhn of Rantoul and Ronald Kuhn of Springfield; four daughters, Yvonne Johnson of Fresno, Calif., Betty Seidel of Danville, Donna (John) Brown of Hoopeston and Debbie (Wayne) Mueller of Chilton, Wis.; one brother, Jack Lemming of Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. and Mrs. Kuhn raised their children on a farm outside Cissna Park, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara was a homemaker and later in life was a child care giver.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park. The Rev. Janet Longtin will officiate. Burial will be in the Cissna Park Cemetery.
