DELAND – Timothy R. Wachob, 61, of Champaign, formerly of DeLand, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Friday (Jan. 18) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City. Frank Tharp will officiate. Burial will be in Nixon Township Cemetery, Weldon, with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to DeLand American Legion Post 102, DeLand.
Mr. Wachob was born Aug. 18, 1951, in Decatur to Raymond C. and Ann L. Brown Wachob.
Survivors include two sons, Brad R. (Shannon) Wachob and Eric T. Wachob, all of Farmer City; three grandchildren, Morgan, Elena and Raymond Wachob; one brother, Terry D. Holtz of Farmer City; one sister, Deborah A. (Buddy) Warren of Monticello; and a special friend, Ina Wooldridge of Champaign.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pamela Wachob.
Timothy farmed in the DeLand area for many years.
He served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the DeLand American Legion Post 102 for 41 years and was a past commander. And he was a member of the 40/8.
