In the year coach Rob Ledin won his 100th career match at M-S and the school competed in its 1,000th dual meet in history, the Bulldogs (21-8) returned to the 20-win mark for the first time in 11 years and concluded a 6-0 run past Corn Belt Conference teams to win the undisputed league championship.
CLINTON GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
The Maroons (22-3), on the verge of cracking the state’s Top 10 in Class 2A, have won seven games in a row. En route to the title game of the Okaw Valley Conference Tournament (tonight at Unity) against No. 4 Central A&M, five different squad members have scored in double figures during the 12-school event.
SHILOH BOYS’ BASKETBALL
The Raiders (14-6) have won eight of their last nine games and moved into a Friday semifinal game (at Arcola) against Tri-County in the Little Okaw Valley Conference Tournament. Sophomores Andrew Donithan and Eli Furgeson have been two of the offensive catalysts for coach Charlie Carver’s streaking team.
MONTICELLO BOYS’ BASKETBALL
The Sages (16-2), who won the school’s 1,500th game earlier this season, have matched their victory total from last season and earned the No. 1 seed for the Okaw Valley Conference Tournament, which starts Friday. Junior Nick Stokowski and senior Bryan Phipps have led the team to three straight wins.
CHRISMAN GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
The Cardinals (5-18) opened the week with back-to-back double-digit wins at home, topping an Oakwood team they had lost to previously and then holding Bismarck-Henning to 15 points. Junior Sarah Ellis scored in double figures in both games while teammates Chey Warner, a junior, and Shelby Warner, a freshman, did so once.
