BUCKLEY – Eloise A. Rust, 78, of Buckley died at 11 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 7, 2013) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She is now resting in her eternal home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 206 E. Main St., Buckley, with the Rev. Daniel A. Olson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Buckley.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 306 E. Lincoln St., Buckley, and one hour before the service Monday at the church.
Eloise was born May 23, 1934, in Champaign, the daughter of Albert and Esther Schrieber Hansens. She married Earl Rust April 14, 1957, in Champaign. He survives.
Also surviving are a son, Myron (Belinda) Rust of Buckley; a daughter, Kendra (Bruce) Andree of Champaign; three grandchildren, Jason (Kaci) Rust, Jami (Cory) Roberts and Chase Andree; and four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Traxton, Brocktyn and Kasen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dale.
Eloise grew up in Hensley Township and graduated from Champaign High School. After graduation she worked for the Champaign High School as a secretary for several years. She was also employed by Big Wheels of Paxton for 10 years.
Eloise was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley. She enjoyed gardening, cross stitch and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
