FARMER CITY – Loretta J. Brandt, 76, of Farmer City passed away at 10:23 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 9, 2013) at her residence.
A celebration of life service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, with Pastor Jeffrey McPike officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Farina Cemetery in Farina. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, also at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
Loretta was born May 30, 1936, at Kinmundy, a daughter of John H. "Jack" and Alta G. Green Diss. She married Wayne Oliver Brandt on April 17, 1954, at Kinmundy.
She is survived by two sons, Michael (Rhonda) Brandt of Farmer City and Steven (Marti) Brandt of Farmer City; and a daughter, Betsy Newman of Farmer City; grandchildren, Nicki Runion of DeWitt, Ben (Lesa) Brandt of Mahomet, Lori Runion of Columbus, Ohio, Tim Brandt of Farmer City, Ronald Runion of Toluca, Michael Brandt of Farmer City, Jamison Brandt of Farmer City; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Keith (Carolyn) Diss of Terre Haute, Ind., and John (Joyce) Diss of Crystal Rivers, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Oliver Brandt; daughter, Teresa Enlow; and grandson, Jason Enlow.
She had been a bookkeeper for the Farmer City schools, George Dunn Inc., Farmer City, and Community Action in Bloomington. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Osman.
