Update 3:15 PM:
The wind advisory for most of East Central Illinois has been canceled, but it remains in effect for Ford and Iroquois Counties until 6 p.m. Monday night.
The National Weather Service says strong winds out of the west will continue through this evening, with gusts of up to 45 miles per hour.
You should be careful while driving and bring inside any outdoor items that might blow away.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for all of east central Illinois until 4pm Monday afternoon. Winds are expected to be 25 to 35 miles per hour out of the west, with gusts up to 40 to 50 miles per hour at times.
High profile vehicles and small automobiles will likely experience some difficulty with the windy conditons, especially on north and south roads.
The advisory includes Champaign, Coles, DeWitt, Douglas, Edgar, Ford, Iroquois, Macon, McLean, Moultrie, Piatt, Shelby, and Vermilion Counties.
