CHAMPAIGN – LeNor Elouise Neathammer of Champaign and Danville died on Friday (Feb. 8, 2013).
The daughter of the late Milo Ellsworth and Sybil Georgia (Davis) Greggs, she was born on Sept. 10, 1929, in Shelburn, Ind. Her brothers Glayne and Meredith preceded her in death.
After graduating from Farmersburg High School and Indiana State Teachers College, LeNor taught first and second grades in Brazil, Ind., and Centralia, Ill., before moving to Champaign in 1955.
After raising her children, she worked at Bergner's in Champaign as a sales associate from the store's opening until her retirement in 2004.
She enjoyed doing needlework, liked to read, and loved watching television and old Hollywood movies.
LeNor is survived by her brother, Byron (Sandy); daughters, Valeria (Gil) and Karen (Forest); son, Brant; treasured grandchildren, Scott (Sahaja), Megan (Sean) and their son Braxton, Andrea (Jeremy), Amanda, Alisa (Garion) and their son Oliver, Erika, Brianna and their fathers, Pete and Robert.
Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Naomi; nieces, Laurice, Jayne and Rajeana; nephews, Bradley, Steven, Kurt and Darin; and special cousins, Shirley, Mary Esther and Ann and their families.
A family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
