CHAMPAIGN - An Urbana man was injured in a drunken driving crash late Thursday night on Champaign's north side.
Champaign County sheriff's Sgt. Dave Coffey said Cesario T. Williams, 41, of County Road 2300 N, was driving north on North Market Street at Ford-Harris Road about 11:30 p.m. when his car left the road on the right side.
The car went down in a ditch and then back across Market Street as he attempted to gain control. The car then went down in the ditch on the other side of the road and rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels.
Coffey said Williams was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital for his injuries. He was treated and released.
Williams admitted he had consumed four beers earlier in the evening, smelled of alcohol, and had bloodshot eyes, Coffey said.
He was ticketed for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.
