MONTICELLO — The county board may sell its Annex building at a special meeting this Friday.
Board members have set up a special meeting at 10 a.m. to consider bids for the 14,000-square-foot structure at 301 S. Charter St., Monticello. The building has been empty since county offices moved to the former Kirby Hospital building last year.
Bids for the Annex are being taken until 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The building will be sold as is. The property failed to sell at a public auction last June, but the county board confirmed recently that at least three parties are interested in buying it. That prompted them to take formal bids.
