HOMER – Philip E. Logan, 71, of Homer passed away at 5:55 a.m. Monday (Feb. 18, 2013) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Bondville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jerry Nichols and Gayle Myers officiating. Burial will be in Craw Cemetery, Sadorus.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Kirby Funeral Home, 708 S. Main St., Homer.
Philip was born July 3, 1941, in Champaign, to William Edward Logan and Iva Moore Deaville.
Surviving are his special friend, Vera Capps; three sons, William (Nancy) Logan of Urbana, Walter (Gloria) Logan of Ogden and Warren Logan of Homer; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Ed Logan of Champaign; and two sisters, Rose Vaughn of Herring and Barbara Snyder of Ringgold, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Logan.
Philip was a member of the Ogden Masonic Lodge. He was a retired postal carrier for Champaign County. He loved rock 'n' roll and his favorite artist was Jerry Lee Lewis.
