VILLA GROVE – Frances "Frankie" Jean Basham, 63, of Villa Grove, formerly Rantoul, passed away Tuesday (Feb. 19, 2013) at her home in rural Villa Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Ogden Church of the Nazarene, 206 N. Market St., Ogden, with the Rev. J.D. Garlock officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Joines Funeral Home, Illinois 130 South, Villa Grove. Burial will be in the Camargo Cemetery, Camargo.
Frankie was born June 29, 1949, in Long Beach, Calif. She was the eldest daughter of Frances Arthur Luzzatto and Imojene Gertrude (Shambrook) Luzzatto.
Frankie married Paul Basham on Feb. 14, 1997. He survives.
Frankie is also survived by her mother of Urbana; her son, Kurt (Roxana) Scoville and their children, Kihara Scoville and Kenny Guerrero of Villa Grove; her daughter, Michelle (Aaron) Carlin and their children, Kaleena Carlin, Lucas Carlin and Hutson Carlin of Urbana; her stepson, Darren (Cindy) Basham of Longview; her stepdaughter, Paula (Paul) Bishop and their children, Adrianne Bishop and Arin Bishop of Gifford. Frankie is also survived by a brother, Dennis Luzzatto of Iron River, Wis.; and an aunt, Shirley Shambrook of Gibson City. She's also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Frankie was preceded in death by her father, sister and several aunts and uncles.
Frankie actively attended The Nazarene Church of Ogden. She sang in the choir and loved the Lord.
Frankie also worked at Christie Clinic for over 15 years as a phlebotomist.
Frankie greatly enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her hobbies included singing, cooking and going on walks with her husband.
