CHAMPAIGN — An Indiana man remained hospitalized Wednesday afternoon with injuries he received when his semitrailer truck rolled on its side in the morning.
A release from Illinois State Police at Pesotum said Bobby Cannon, 57, of Carbon, Ind., was driving on the ramp from Interstate 74 westbound to I-57 southbound when his rig overturned into the left ditch just before 9:30 a.m.
Emergency responders had to cut him out of the cab. He was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana, where he remained in fair condition.
He was issued a ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
