MATTOON — Urbana artist Deborah Fell will lead a workshop on business for artists from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 23 at the Mattoon Area Family YMCA, 221 N. 16th St. The cost is $50 and will include lunch.
The workshop is open to area artists of any medium to help them focus on marketing and selling their work in today's market. Her topics will be setting goals, organizing your studio, the basics of self-promotion, how to price your work, selling your work, using digital media to promote your work and marketing in the 21st century.
Fell is a full-time studio artist committed to the art-quilt medium. She is a professional member of the Studio Art Quilt Associates, the Surface Design Association and ArtQuilt Network. She has been a professional educator for more than 30 years and has taught various art workshops at national symposiums, community colleges and for continuing education credits.
