DANVILLE — The city's public works crews will be replacing street poles on Fairchild Street in the next two weeks.
Poles will be replaced along Fairchild Street from Gilbert Street to Vermilion Street. The project begins Monday and will require single-lane closures and will be done during the day.
The project is expected to last two weeks, weather permitting.
Street light pole replacement will be done in two phases, beginning with the north side of Fairchild Street then the south. Depending on which phase, the street lights on one side or another will be lighted at night during the course of the project. Drivers are encouraged to use caution through the work zone.
