Former Illini being held on $250,000 bond
The legal troubles continue for former Illinois basketball player Jereme Richmond.
The Chicago Tribune reports the 2010 Illinois Mr. Basketball is being held on $250,000 bond after he allegedly threatened his probation officer.
Richmond left Illinois after his freshman season and declared for the NBA draft. He was not selected. After a series of legal issues, the McDonald's All-American from Waukegan had been playing professionally for the Sauk Valley Predators of the Premier Basketball League, but quit that team recently by sending a text message to franchise representatives.
