Illinois will travel to Atlanta for 15th Big Ten/ACC Challenge
Illinois will face a familiar opponent in this year's Big Ten/ACC Challenge, traveling to Georgia Tech on Dec. 3 in a rematch of last season's matchup which the Illini won 75-62 in Champaign.
In that game, Joseph Bertrand and Brandon Paul led Illinois with 15 points apiece. Bertrand went on a personal 10-0 run in the second half to spark the Illini, who hit a season-high 14 three-pointers.
The Illini have won four straight in the annual challenge between the two conferences and they own a Big Ten-best seven wins in the 15-year event.
After the ACC won the first 10 challenges, the Big Ten won the next three and retained the Commissioner's Cup after the event ended in a 6-6 tie last season.
