A former Illinois lawmaker said the recent actions by the governor are "poisoning the well" that is the General Assembly.
That's according to former state representative and current Danville Alderman Bill Black.
Gov. Pat Quinn has drawn the ire of lawmakers recently for his veto of concealed carry and his plan to take away lawmakers pay.
And Black said these actions remind him of a time not too long ago when lawmakers and the governor didn't get along.
Black also said that this is the first time he can recall that an Illinois governor has taken away lawmakers' pay.
Black made the comments Thursday on A Penny For Your Thoughts on WDWS.
