Seventeen Danville school administrators and 11 non-union flat-salaried employees were given modest salary increases.
DANVILLE — Seventeen Danville school administrators and 11 non-union flat-salaried employees were given modest salary increases on Wednesday.
The Danville school board voted 4-1 to approve salaries for the 2013-14 school year for the staff, whose salaries had not been set yet.
Board member Frank Young voted against the salaries, while Randall Ashton and Steve Bragorgos were absent.
Superintendent Mark Denman said the increases are approximately the same as the average increase given to Danville Education Association members under their new contract approved in July. He added the raises were given based on employee performance.
Here are the administrators' salaries (excluding pension benefits):
— Jason Bletzinger, North Ridge Middle School principal: $84,874, up from $83,000 in 2012-13.
— Jessica Bradford, South View Middle School assistant principal: $67,785 plus $1,000 for the middle school differential, up from $66,000 last year.
— Eliza Brooks, Liberty Elementary School principal: $81,027, up from $79,153 last year.
— Darin Chambliss, Danville High School assistant principal: $76,769, up from $74,776 last year.
— Tracy Cherry, Kenneth D. Bailey Academy principal: $81,103 (same as last year) plus a $1,904 merit stipend.*
— Julie Deignan, Southwest Elementary School principal: $71,785, up from $70,000 last year.
— Robin Fluno, East Park Elementary School assistant principal: $76,088, up from $74,243.
— Mark Goodwin, Edison Elementary School principal: $82,834 (same as last year) plus a $1,726 merit stipend.*
— John Hart, special education director: $83,861, up from $82,000 last year.
— Ron Henton, buildings and grounds director: $82,171, up from $77,671 last year.
— Greg Lazzell, food service director: $71,111, up from $69,250 last year.
— Heather Smith, business and finance director: $86,961, up from $81,961 last year.
— Kimberly Pabst, Cannon Elementary School principal: $77,993, up from $75,910 last year.
— Chris Rice, East Park principal: $81,597, up from $79,675 last year.
— Mendy Spesard, Meade Park Elementary School principal: $78,382, up from $76,627 last year.
— Scott Williams, information technology director: $75,268, up from $73,598 last year.
— DeMarko Wright, DHS assistant principal: $78,665, up from $76,761.
In addition, administrators who will continue to serve this year, but have not submitted their intent to retire, will receive a $500 bonus for 2012-13. Last year, they took a salary freeze.
Administrators also will receive a $1,000 bonus for 2013-14.
Here are the non-union flat salaried employees' salaries (excluding Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund benefits):
— Jolene Armstrong, payroll clerk: $36,163, up from $35,000 last year.
— Teri Atwood, treasurer and business director's assistant: $44,019 (same as last year) plus a $1,163 merit stipend.*
— Melinda Bailey, associate superintendent's secretary: $43,201 (same as last year) plus a $1,244 merit stipend.*
— Kerry Cranmore, custodial supervisor: $42,702, up from $41,500 last year. (Cranmore also will receive a $15,500 stipend for serving as the district's energy conservation manager.)
— Sherri Hous, physical therapist: $51,921, up from $50,677 last year.
— Connie Kittell, human resources secretary: $40,820, up from $39,576 last year.
— Randy Pichon, warehouse manager: $54,545 (same as last year) plus a $1,282 merit stipend.*
— Martha See, board secretary: $57,500 (same as last year) plus a $1,244 merit stipend.*
— Kyleer Vance, network administrator: $46,000, up from $42,000 last year.
— Greg Wagers, high school administration manager: $34,975, up from $33,693 last year.
— Nancy Wright, buildings and grounds secretary: $40,833, up from $39,750 last year.
In addition, employees who will continue to serve this year will receive a $500 bonus for 2012-13.
* Employees who are at the top of their salary range are eligible to receive a merit stipend off their base salary.
