Doctors join heart/vascular institute.Dr. Vimal Rabdiya and Dr. Edwin Zishiri have joined the Carle Heart & Vascular Institute in cardiology and electrophysiology, respectively.
Rabdiya earned a medical degree from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India. He completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Hartford Hospital/University of Connecticut in Hartford, Conn.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the National Board of Echocardiography and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Zishiri earned a medical degree from the University of Zimbabwe in Harare, Zimbabwe. He completed a research fellowship at Harvard University, as well as a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the National Board of Echocardiology and the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Carle gains neonatologist.Dr. Vitaliy Soloveychik has joined Carle's neonatology department.
He earned a medical degree from Samara State Medical University in Samara, Russia.
Soloveychik completed a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital and completed his residency in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center, Chicago.
He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
McGladrey promotes Hampton.Courtney Hampton has been promoted to assurance services supervisor in McGladrey LLP's Champaign office.
She primarily serves clients in manufacturing.
Hampton joined the firm in 2009 and is a certified public accountant.
Hobbico appoints three.Rod Clark, Dick Sumner and Leslie Pouilliard have received promotions at Hobbico, Champaign.
Clark has been named general manager of Great Planes Model Distributors, a Hobbico subsidiary. He joined Hobbico 22 years ago as a senior sales representative for Great Planes and progressed through Great Planes' management ranks.
Sumner has been named vice president of manufacturing operations for Great Planes Model Manufacturing, a Hobbico subsidiary. He joined Hobbico in 1991 as director of manufacturing operations when the company acquired Great Planes Model Manufacturing.
Pouillliard was named general manager of United Model. She began her career at Hobbico five years ago as United Model's system administration manager. The company said she made significant contributions to major systems upgrades and other projects at United Model.
Alumni association hires executive.Jack R. Peirce has been promoted to executive vice president of the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
He most recently served as senior vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of the association. He joined the association in 2005 as chief financial officer.
Peirce will focus on policy matters, strategy development and working with alumni leaders and university administration.
Before joining the association, Peirce worked in investment banking.
Counseling group adds Griffith. Licensed clinical social worker Lynn Griffith has joined The Rock Counseling Group, Champaign.
She works with individuals, couples and families with issues related to depression, anxiety, addiction and behavioral concerns.
Griffith has worked in the mental health field for many years.
Salvato, Sahy take new roles.Elizabeth Salvato has become assistant vice president, branch manager in Charleston, for First Mid-Illinois Bank & Trust.
She will supervise employees and oversee day-to-day operations at the branch at 701 Sixth St., Charleston.
Salvato, who has been First Mid's training officer for eight years, will be succeeded in that role by Amanda Sahy.
Sahy began her banking career in 1999 as a teller at Peoples State Bank in Mahomet. When that bank became part of first Mid-Illinois, Sahy continued as a branch manager and regional deposit manager for the Decatur region.
Twin City Realty receives award.Twin City Realty, Champaign, has been selected for the 2013 Illinois Excellence Award by the Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce.
The institute conducts business surveys and industry research to identify companies that achieved demonstrable success in their local business environment and industry category.

Rybicki is a financial adviser with the Progressive Asset Management Group, Urbana, specializing in environmentally and socially responsible investing.
Humanities council taps Caldwell.Lake Land Collegemusic instructor Nancy Caldwell has been selected as an "Illinois Road Scholar" by the Illinois Humanities Council for the 2013-14 school year.
As part of the council's Road Scholars Speakers Bureau, Caldwell will present "A Soundtrack for Wartime: Songs of the Civil War" to audiences across Illinois.
She developed the presentation to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the war.
Park district boards reorganize.Joseph Petry has become president of the Champaign Park District's board of commissioners, succeeding Newton Dodds, who retired.
Alvin Griggs succeeded Petry as vice president of the board. Other commissioners are Jane Solon, Barbara Kuhl and Tim McMahon.
Craig Hays was appointed chair of the Champaign Parks Foundation board, and Barbara Hundley was appointed vice chair. John Frauenhoffer remains as secretary and Gary Wackerlin is treasurer.
Lang marks 20 years.Jackie Lang of Champaign was recently recognized by the Developmental Services Center, Champaign, for 20 years of service.
She has been a developmental instructor since 1993.
