DANVILLE — A Danville businessman injured in a one-vehicle accident last week in Bismarck also faces charges of driving under the influence, according to Vermilion County court records.
Doug M. Dawson, 45, of the 21000 block of Walnut Hill Road in Danville, was ticketed for failing to reduce speed and disregarding a stop sign and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to court records.
Dawson is the president of Dawson Logistics, a Danville company that provides supply-chain logistics for a variety of businesses. He crashed his vehicle at 8:42 p.m. Sept. 12 after going airborne over railroad tracks in Bismarck, according to an accident report from the Vermilion County sheriff's department. Dawson was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana and a passenger was treated and released at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
